In the center there is a savanna becoming more and more desertic because of the desert which is moving forward .

 OUR SCHOOL:

MARTIN LTHER KING COLLEGE

It is a girl college creating in 1972  it is frequented by about 800 students devided in 16 classrooms we have about 50 students by classroom .
We learn as in all schools in Senegal :

Because of the last point this college is qualify as a Technological college . It is the thirt girls secondary school after John F. Kennedy in Dakar and Ahmet Fall in Saint louis high school .
In our college we adopted the system called <Journee continue> it means a continuate day, students stays at school from 8 to 5 hours in the afternoon with breaks . There is advantages and many inconvenients in this method .

ADVANTAGES
In Senegal the <continuated day> is general in the administration but not in schools . In all the others schools there is break at 10 o’ clock during 10 to 15 minites and we stop class from 12 to 15 o' clock . In the afternoon students learn until 18  may be 19 o' clock .
In this Methode students have time to have a rest , to eat meal , get a bath and come back to shool .
The problem here is that students can sometimes lost much time for tralling from the school to the home because of the ambouteillage , students are so tired than they come back at school completely weary(las lasse ) .
In the <continuated day>, there is a break from 10 o' clock to 10 past 15 minutes, from 12 o' clock to 13 o’clock . The main problem is poverty students stay at school sometimes without eating at midday . They have problem to understand or to participate in class they leave a very hard situation.
